General
To export food to the United States, at least one person within a food company must meet the requirements of a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual. With Précon's training, you meet this requirement. The training is based on the standard curriculum recognized by the FDA. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate from the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance.
Duration
This blended training consists of an English-language e-learning taken and assessed through FSPCA. The e-learning requires about 12 hours of self-study time. Then you follow a one-day classroom training at our location in Bunnik, followed by a half-day online session. The total study load is thus 24 hours.
Time & Place
The e-learning can start at any time. The e-learning must be fully completed before participating in the classroom training days.
The classroom day (Day 1) in Bunnik is from 9:00 - 17:00, the classroom online session (Day 2) is scheduled from 9:00 - 13:00 or 13:00 - 17:00 in our online learning management system Elzi.

This blended training costs a total of € 1495,00 excluding VAT.

Target audience
This training is designed for quality managers or employees and production managers of companies exporting food products to the United States of America.
Target
The goal of the training is to become familiar with U.S. food safety legislation in 2.5 days, while learning about the similarities and differences with European legislation and GFSI standards. After the training you will be demonstrably qualified as a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual.
Topics
In this training you will learn:
- Review basic conditions, specific measures and the food safety plan against US legislation.
- Adhere to the food safety plan where you will perform tasks such as assessment, maintenance, validation and verification, internal audit according to FSMA requirements.
- Prepare and supervise an inspection or audit in accordance with 21 CFR 117*.
- Identify changes in relevant US legislation and know useful US food safety information sources and guidelines.
- Update the quality manual to meet FSMA requirements.
- Communicate effectively with importers and the FDA in the language of FSMA.
- Instruct and train process operators and other employees in practices and procedures that are relevant.
