General

The Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards (BRCGS) published the final version of the BRCGS Food version 9 on August 1, 2022. From February 2023, the first audits according to this standard will take place. From October 2022, Précon is organizing a number of knowledge afternoons to update you on all the changes. So you can learn in one half day what the changes mean for the organization.

Target audience

The training is designed for quality managers, quality officers, HACCP members or senior management working in a BRCGS certified company or considering BRCGS certification.

Target

After participating, you will be aware of the changes in BRCGS Food version 9. In addition, you will have received guidance on how to implement these changes in your organization.

Topics

The biggest changes of this new standard are in the role of senior management on food safety and quality culture, and prior validation of equipment changes or commissioning of new equipment.

Another important area of focus is food fraud. The standard now specifically states that personnel involved in determining food fraud risks must be demonstrably competent.

During this knowledge afternoon we will discuss this in detail. In short, these are the topics that will be discussed during the knowledge afternoon:

  • Concrete content related to food safety and quality culture development;
  • Pre-validate changes to / commissioning of equipment;
  • Train personnel (incl. targeted training on other control measures);
  • Product authenticity and food defense in supplier audits;
  • Food fraud (employees demonstrably competent);
  • Complete the program of internal audits and inspections.
