Last year we saw the great rise of AI and this also offers many opportunities in the field of learning. We also saw that customization and videos are becoming more and more important in organization. But also Subscriptions and training plans could not be missed. Read more about these developments below.
For the food industry, Précon has developed a range of ready-to-use e-learning modules on frequently covered topics such as food safety, hygiene, HACCP, cleaning and disinfection and food defense. In addition to e-learning modules developed specifically for the food industry, modules related to the topics of safety, privacy and information security are also available. Yet there are companies that have slightly different ways of working that make customization more appropriate. Companies increasingly want a training or e-learning to fit the specific needs of an organization or an individual. In 2023, we also saw the power of customized e-learning increase among our clients.
With customization, we look at the learning needs from the client's perspective. General topics such as food safety can be dealt with specifically based on the company's processes. With photos and videos of the organization you reduce the transfer for learning: thanks to the specific visual material, trainees know exactly where, when and how to apply the knowledge learned.
And speaking of video, the use of videos in e-learning also seems increasingly popular. After all, a picture says more than 1,000 words, and moving images say even more. Video can greatly enrich e-learning, especially if you apply some of our tips. For example, focus on the purpose you want to convey and avoid distracting details. Think carefully about the length of the video and prefer to divide long videos into shorter ones.
As we purchase our public offerings, we are seeing a desire from clients to offer employees more than just individual and mandatory training topics. With an all-you-can-train subscription, you can offer employees many more training courses without the costs increasing proportionally. This allows you to offer unlimited and carefree training and in this way Précon helps you with the goal of lifelong learning.
Précon offers three subscription types for a fixed price per employee:
We also expect companies to focus more on offering different training opportunities for their employees in the coming years. Précon is happy to support companies in this.
In 2023, we also received more questions from companies struggling to identify what training is needed for each employee. By creating a training plan for your company, you get an overview of competencies employees need to perform a particular job. With this, you can determine how employees can acquire these competencies, for example, by linking different training providers to these competencies. In this way, you offer employees growth perspectives and you can structurally invest in learning and development. We saw this desire increase in 2023 and expect, in view of the labor shortage, that more and more companies will focus on offering growth perspectives to their own employees.
The biggest innovation in recent years is, of course, AI. In the field of learning and development, you can see that ChatGPT is increasingly being used, for example, for marketing, a chatbot, translating texts and also creating learning objectives and test questions. ChatGPT is not yet flawless in all tasks, but developments are going fast. ChatGPT can help and support us well in various tasks: collecting customer preference data for marketing purposes, translating texts and requesting laws and regulations around food safety, for example, in performing these tasks ChatGPT is very fast and accurate.
