As a trader or processor of organic products, you are responsible for the texts on the label and other commercial expressions, such as a website or advertisement. How do you ensure that you are compliant with European legislation? And how do you translate those legal rules into a label that is attractive and understandable to consumers?
This training is based on the "Labeling and Claims" training and is specifically tailored to topics relevant to the organic industry, such as labels, sustainability and health. Do you work with organic products and are you involved in label development or communication statements? Then this training is right for you.
The training consists of an online and a classroom part. Through the e-learning Label smart you will learn which rules a label must comply with and where to find them. In a classroom session you will learn to apply these rules to your products and we will go further into the subject of communication. Through practical examples and by getting started yourself, you will be able to draft or validate a label yourself using Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011 and No. 2018/848. Claims will also be discussed, you will learn which authorities you have to deal with and we will answer the question "Which claims are not allowed, but - more importantly - what is possible on my product?".
This training will be given by Christianne de Kort. She is a consultant at Précon Consulting Group BV and an expert on organic products. She has extensive experience in packaging and claims legislation.
