As a food producer, you naturally want a beautiful and appealing label that really stands out to consumers. Real French Baguette, for example, or Original Mexican Tacos. You also want the label to convey the experience of the product. But how do you state this on the label? Then Article 26 applies, and in practice this raises quite a few questions. Do you have to mention the origin of a food product and the origin of the primary ingredient on the packaging or not? And to which products exactly do these rules apply? The law is not always unambiguous, nor is it always black and white. That is why Précon has developed an online training course'Origin labeling: Article 26 in practice' with a handy decision tree. This allows you to quickly and correctly determine which statements you need to put on the packaging.

The legal rules on origin labeling prove difficult to apply in practice. Using the decision tree developed on the basis of the legal text, you will learn in this training course which products are or are not subject to Article 26. In addition, you will learn when you do and do not need a statement of origin, and also whether you need to state the origin of the primary ingredient. By practicing with a number of example products, you will go through the decision tree step by step so that you can then use it properly yourself.
