In-depth food contact materials training for NVWA

For the second year in a row, Précon hosted an enthusiastic group of NVWA inspectors for a three-day customized training. During this training, developed and conducted by Précon, participants interactively dealt with the Dutch and European legislation on migration of unwanted chemicals from food contact materials. With the training the NVWA invests in the knowledge and skills of its inspectors who can immediately apply the acquired knowledge in their daily work as supervisors on the Dutch market.

"From the past, we have good experiences with Précon as a trainer. The supervision of food contact materials is an important task of the NVWA. The level, content and interactive nature of the training meet the needs of our inspectors. In good cooperation with our own teachers, Précon has also delivered an excellent customized training this year, According to the NVWA."

Spread over three training days, the following topics were highlighted:

• The definition of food contact material
• The physical principles associated with process of migration of chemicals
• The application of European and Dutch legislation to food contact materials.
• Recycling intervention policies and regulations (given by NVWA itself)

Whether it was about the requirements for the Declaration of Agreement for plastic food contact material or the permitted substances for the paper of a coffee pod. The questions kept coming!" said Marco Bakker, who conducted the training on behalf of Précon."
