E-learning for doers

Précon e-learning realizes effective e-learning solutions for the man and woman in the workplace, the doers. In general, this target group is not used to formal development and often have negative experiences with learning. This must be taken into account when developing the online learning solution so that the learning objectives are achieved and the target group has a positive learning experience.

Eight Conditions for Learning Solutions for Doers...

Place text close to or even "in" the image it is about. Knowledge transfer among the student will be enhanced if words and images are shown simultaneously.

Delete unnecessary information and make short sentences

Prevent an e-learning course from containing information that does not contribute to the learning objective or is not useful in the student's daily practice.

Personal and recognizable

Speak directly to the learner and show examples, pictures and animations that are based on - or come directly from - real-life situations. That way, trainees immediately know where they can use the information in practice.

Feasible learning units

Divide information into achievable parts. This prevents the student from having to process too much information at once and remembering little of the content.

Feasible learning units

Visualize

Visualize information where necessary. Many doers do not have full command of the Dutch language and have difficulty reading. A picture often says more than a large amount of text, especially when dealing with more complex principles.

Set your own pace

Let the student determine the pace of the training. This prevents information from passing by too quickly and knowledge from not being remembered and processed.

Active learning

Through interaction, exercises and questions, you get students to actively engage with the material. In this way, the student is forced to think about the information, making the theory sink in better.

Appreciation and interest

Appreciation and interest from the manager promotes employee development. This is especially true for employees who work in the same position or with the same employer for a long time.
