Technical file.
The Toys Directive requires manufacturers to prepare a technical file for all toys marketed in Europe. The technical file includes information that can be used to demonstrate that the toy complies with the essential requirements and is produced in such a way.
You must keep the technical file for 10 years after the toy was last placed on the market. You must be able to make the technical file available at the request of the market supervisor.
Our consultants can help you set up your system for creating technical files. We can also take this task off your hands and compile the technical files for you. We already have experience with thousands of articles.
A technical file consists of:
- A detailed description of the design and manufacture of the product.
- Conducted safety assessments.
- A description of the conformity assessment procedure.
- The EC Declaration of Conformity.
- The address of places of manufacture and storage.
- Test reports and description of production assurance.
- If applicable, the EC type examination certificate and documents.
