First results Précon Quality Platform visible

In January 2019, BlockBrains began optimizing key work processes at Précon using the Betty Blocks platform. Précon is growing and is an industry leader in product safety, quality and sustainability. Précon does not limit itself to a specific sector, country or continent, but sets its boundaries based on knowledge and expertise in food, non-food, governance and learning.

Growth Précon

In recent years, Précon has experienced substantial growth, and growth means an increase in the number of processes. The newest business: non-food within Précon, led to parallel work processes that were not centrally controlled. The additional processes had their own workload and workflow management. The increasing number of projects and lack of overview significantly increased the risk of errors in service delivery to customers.

With growth and new organizational goals, the need arose for an application that supports Précon's current workflow. And in which Précon can serve its customers even better in the field of compliance, both in food and non-food.

With process support from BlockBrains, there is time and space for change. By using modern and innovative technology, Précon is able to be at the forefront of developing applications that fit the organization.

First results

The first results are now visible. On Betty Blocks' no-code platform, BlockBrains has developed a new self-service portal. With the first result that Précon can receive, assign, track and invoice customer requests.

More specifically, an application has been developed in recent months that will be used by both Précon and clients to register, manage, inform and invoice assignments in the field of Regulatory Affairs (with the main service of advising on compliance with labeling legislation). The new application allows clients to enter their RA assignments through a portal, possibly linked to client-specific systems. Assignments received are scheduled using the new application and progress is measured and made visible. Clients will soon have real-time visibility into the status of their assignments with the new application. In addition, data exchange between Précon and the client can take place directly and in a secure environment.

A pilot will be conducted before the summer vacations. After that, the application will be implemented for Précon's total services in this area.

Meanwhile, the expansion of the application for similar non-food services has also begun. The Quality Services unit already uses a workflow portal. The functions of this existing portal will also be accommodated in the new application.

In the fall, the application will be completed with the development of functions to support Reach duty (hazardous materials administration) for customers.

"Through the collaboration with BlockBrains, the first version of the application will be ready within 5 months to the point where we can start a pilot. The final version is expected to save us time and therefore operational costs. We also expect that the application will adequately support communication with our customers. In addition, the platform will enable us to respond structurally to changes in the business. "Rien van Alphen
