Frequently asked questions.
Do you have a business in the food sector? Then do the entrepreneur scan! Find out which rules from registration with the NVWA/FAVV to HACCP obligations apply to you. After completing the scan, your personal report is immediately available as a download. A great guideline for possible next steps.
Having certification to one of the quality standards is not a (legal) requirement. However, in many cases your customers require certification.
European regulations and national legislation stipulate that companies are required to work according to a food safety system. The NVWA oversees this in the Netherlands, the FAVV oversees this in Belgium.
When you have made a choice to certify according to one of the standards, a Précon consultant will come to your company to assess what is needed to achieve certification. Afterwards you will receive a report of this so-called baseline measurement, which clearly describes the steps to be taken. Our consultants can also assist in the implementation of the remaining steps.
Yes, at Précon you have come to the right place. We do not use a standard approach, but believe that every company is unique and therefore needs a unique approach. Read more about our approach here.
Whereas BRCGS, IFS and FSSC 22000 aim to combat proliferation among standards, we see that some customers have additional requirements on top of these well-known standards. For example, some Dutch retailers carry out additional Product Integrity Audits (PIA). Our consultants can of course help you implement these customer-specific requirements within your company.
After the requirements from the quality standard are implemented within your company, Précon can support you leading up to the external audit. Together with you we look at what is needed to be ready for the external audit. We do this by means of an internal audit, also called dress rehearsal. Based on this you know exactly what still needs to be done to come to a successful result during the external audit.
Yes, Précon's consultants have experience with all product labels, such as SKAL for organic products, ASC and MSC for seafood, UTZ, Fairtrade, Kosher, Halal, etc. Précon can help you implement the specific requirements within your company and prepare the audits.
