From standards and norms, you must have a system in place that keeps you abreast of applicable legislation. But for many food companies, keeping up with all the changes in relevant laws and regulations is a challenge. It is a time-consuming task, and once you are behind, it is quite a chore to go through all the changes. Only to find out that you may have missed a change and need to update product labels as soon as possible.
Fortunately, it can also be done in minutes, with Précon's tool called the Food Law Guide.
First of all, the Food Law Guide gives you a clear and concise overview of your law changes in one central place. The changes are prepared for you by our editors. This saves a lot of time, as the editors check the sources daily for changes. You will receive a weekly notification email. By setting up a company-specific profile, you only need to go through the changes relevant to you.
It is also possible to read a brief explanation from the editor for each change. There is a following time saving here, because you can quickly know what the amendment is about by looking at the explanation.
In addition, setting up a company-specific profile gives you an overview of your relevant laws. For each law, you can read what the general scope is, what kind of obligations it contains and to whom the law applies.
Of course, for each amendment and/or law, you can easily click through to the official consolidated legal texts.
Earlier this year, Précon conducted a survey of all Food Law Guide users. When asked if they would recommend the Food Law Guide, the Food Law Guide scored a close second. Users are positive about the system and find it easy to use. The quality of the messages is rated high and users judge that they are well informed about changes.
