At Précon we know how learning, innovation and performance works within organizations. Because learning takes time, we find it important that the time of your employees is used as effectively as possible. We have therefore divided our practical (customized) training Audit skills into several compact training modules at the operational, tactical and strategic level. The beauty of this is that the content of the training is even better suited to the level, experience and activities of your employee(s). By combining training modules we form a learning line that the employee can follow to develop into an auditor at the desired pace! Together we can determine which way of training suits you best per module and even skip or repeat modules! Of course, experienced auditors can still follow a separate training module to refresh their knowledge and skills or extend their certification!
From a quality management point of view, a lot of audits are conducted every year. A well-executed audit is a positive activity. It helps an organization identify opportunities for improvement, or identify and prevent problems. Depending on the level (operational, tactical or strategic) at which you are working, you will need different knowledge and skills to ensure that the audit makes a useful contribution to improving the quality management system.
6 steps of the audit program
Thus, at the operational level, the auditor contributes to the 6 steps of the audit process mainly by objectively and communicatively skillfully seeking the facts. In doing so, it is important to take into account the purpose, reference and scope of the audit. We have a training module in which we help you master all the basic knowledge and skills. Because it is quite different whether you perform an internal or a supplier audit, we have developed 2 separate training modules. At the tactical level you are much more concerned with organizing and securing the 6 steps of the audit program. You have to determine which audits will be performed next year, in line with the company's strategic objectives. To help you with this, we offer the training module 'steering for quality'. You can also take the in-depth training to learn the differences between appreciative, process, product and thematic audits. At the strategic level, you need to be able to direct multiple processes and assess advice from different experts. Then it is helpful if you also speak the language of the quality department and know how they think about risk management, for example. We can help you understand this language better and, for example, align HACCP and quality.
Example learning line audit skills
The level at which you work affects the content of the training (the learning objectives). It can also vary from person to person, from company to company and from learning objective to learning objective, which is the best way to achieve the desired learning objective. Because Précon has 25 years of experience in providing training and employs both subject matter consultants, learning consultants and graphic developers, we can apply a variety of training formats. For example, we have explained the main basic concepts of the audit process in an interactive e-learning module. But we can also offer this knowledge via classroom training online, or classroom training at your location, or coaching-on-the-job, or even blended.
You can register for audit skills modules here. But if you want to train several people or be helped throughout the audit process, we can of course provide customized training! Our consultants can hold an initial intake interview about your needs, without any obligation, to advise you which form of training will have the best effect for your organization.
