Knowledge day FSSC 22000 version 5

Back in March we informed you about the arrival of FSSC 22000 version 5 and it was published in May. From now on it is possible to register for a knowledge day.

The purpose of the revision is to incorporate the new ISO 22000 with High Level Structure (HLS) into the FSSC 22000. Below we list the most important changes:

  • The organization should have a risk-based and documented monitoring program that includes microbiological and allergen controls as a minimum;
  • New paragraph 2.5.9.Transport And Delivery (Food Chain Category Fi): during transport, possible contaminations should be minimized;
  • the new ISO - High Level Structure has been introduced because of this there are many shifts from existing requirements in the standard (ISO22000);
  • Conducting a context and stakeholder analysis (ISO22000), this includes looking at the importance of food safety to the company and to its stakeholders;
  • A renewed approach to CCPs and OPRPs (ISO22000).
  • The sector-specific baseline conditions have not changed.

Starting in January 2020, the first audits will take place under the new standard.
