CE marking,
appropriately.
It may not be a seal of approval, but CE marking is highly relevant to products that a manufacturer or importer markets within the EU. At least if the product is allowed to carry that marking according to European legislation. These complex and dynamic laws and regulations are exactly what you run into as a manufacturer or importer.
CE marking in accordance with European directives.
CE means nothing more than being in compliance with European legislation. That legislation aims to protect consumers from unsafe products on the market. CE marking indicates that the product complies with European directives and is therefore safe to use.
At your own responsibility, as you may decide how you test your product against these directives. In most cases, a declaration of conformity must be drawn up for the product in question, stating that the product complies with all applicable European directives.
Not all products may carry a CE mark according to European law. Of course, they must meet the requirements of applicable laws and regulations. This is where our consultants are happy to help.
What can we help our clients with?
Précon professionals know European legislation and directives inside out and can tell you exactly whether your product needs CE marking and what the harmonized laws and regulations entail.
Our approach.
Précon has worked for many years as a quality consultant for major international parties in the supply chain. We have handled almost all types of non-food items. What can we help you with?
- checking your product for compliance with applicable laws and regulations and CE marking;
- Train your employees on product safety;
- Support your organization as needed or take the entire process off your hands.
In the latter case, we determine which European directives apply and translate them into a protocol. If it turns out that your product needs CE marking, we draw up product markings, instructions for use and a declaration of conformity for you. Your products must always comply with all relevant laws and requirements.
