Good Documentation Practices at Berry Global.
What is the trigger?
Berry Global has been training its employees for years in GDP: Good Documentation Practices. These are rules by which documents are kept. Rules about how to fill out forms.
Précon was commissioned by Berry Global to develop an online customized module of this classroom training. This way, Berry Global does not have to schedule classroom moments and employees remain employable in production. Moreover, new employees can start the module immediately and take the online course at their convenience.
Importance of registration.
Employees learn the importance of filling out registration forms properly: this is the only way to guarantee the safety of a product. What rules must you comply with, for example? For example, note data directly at the time of the activity. And what should you do if you correct a data? What do you fill in on the registration form when a machine is at a standstill? Using practical examples, trainees learn the rules of GDP.
Custom modules
In addition to a custom module on GDP, Berry Global also uses custom modules on cleanroom and food safety. All online modules are fully customized to the specific situations within the company.
About the company.
Berry Global has been around since the early 1960s and makes non-woven fabrics used in, for example, the medical or automotive industries. The fabrics are made through a complex process from fiber to suitable material. In this they use various technical processes. Finally, the fabrics are twisted onto large rolls and sold directly to their customers or taken to the Converting department for further processing. The Converting department cuts and packages the materials in such a way that they can be sold as finished products to their customers.
