Quality manager training at Précon.
What is the trigger?
As a quality manager, you need to master various aspects of the work to be effective. For those who want to start working as a quality manager but are still relatively unfamiliar with quality management, Précon has the "Quality Manager Training.
Johan Oud has been working as a quality manager at a fish company since 2024 and needed to brush up on his content knowledge about quality. He took the course at Précon and successfully completed it within a year.
Quality manager training.
In the quality manager training, the participant combines classroom, knowledge-based training at Précon with coaching-on-the-job. Together with a coach from Précon you discuss relevant cases and share experiences from your own practice. Within one year Précon trains you to be a complete quality manager.
Johan: "I chose to take all the trainings in quick succession, because my goal was to have everything completed before our external audit in May 2025."
Prior to each training you will take an e-learning so that all participants have the same basic knowledge during the course. Then during the training you actively go to work with the theory and you get many practical assignments. Johan says: "I liked the fact that the groups were not too large, so there is plenty of room for personal attention. In addition, I was positive about the trainers who have a lot of practical experience. Every training I sat together with other students. I could also learn a lot from them, because they often already had more experience in the quality field than I did."

The coach
During the training you will be guided by a coach from Précon, with whom you will have two coaching sessions. "I had an intake interview and two coaching sessions, where I determined the topics of discussion myself. For example, my coach gave feedback on the management review and we went through our HACCP plan together. I experienced this as very valuable," says Johan.
The result
Meanwhile, Johan has already been able to apply much of the knowledge he has gained in practice. For example, he conducts internal audits and can put his microbiological knowledge to good use during supplier discussions.
After the entire course of the 'Training for Quality Manager' has been completed, the participant receives a certificate. "Because of this training I now have the right knowledge and background information, which makes me a better interlocutor inside and outside our organization, as well as giving me the feeling of really holding the reins."
