Quality Management at Beltaste.
What is the trigger?
The quality manager who had been part of the Beltaste team for years fell out. What first appeared to be a brief period of absence continued to drag on. It soon became clear that this role held an important place within the organization. There was an urgent need to temporarily fill this position. That was why Beltaste decided to contact Précon.
Our approach.
To help Beltaste as quickly as possible, Précon proposed a flexible approach. Through a combination of junior and senior consultants, a staffed quality department was back in place at very short notice. The backlog was cleared as quickly as possible.
The quality manual was fully screened and points for renewal established. A systematic approach was necessary. Since the IFS audit was also scheduled in the near future, priorities were set in consultation with the management team and the course for renewal was set.
For a quality system to work well, it is important that it is supported by the entire organization. There was therefore a strong focus on accessibility and increasing support within the organization. Employees from different departments were involved in the development, so the system began to live in the company. Quality thinking and food safety culture systematically evolved to a higher level.
The HACCP plan was also found to be outdated. It was decided by Beltaste to have it renewed according to the method of Précon. Not only was the complete HACCP study redone, the members of the HACCP team also received extensive training by Précon.
The final result
The quality department is again fully staffed by its own employees. The transfer between the Précon and Beltaste consultants went smoothly. The quality system is now supported by the entire organization, so that assurance in the future is also assured. By using the Précon method for HACCP analysis and the associated training, the HACCP team is also ready for the future.
