Challenge:
Economically produce a product with nine layers of material, including
rubber, adhesive, mesh and polyester film. The product required tight
tolerance in registering lamination of adhesive patterns and die cut
product features.
Solution: PCG developed a single pass process that doubled
previous production rates and reduced product cost by over 30%. The
process required the use of thirteen press unwinds and rewinds and
registration of three die cutting stations. |

Challenge:
Source appropriate materials and develop a process to manufacture
a new-to-market DVD protective cover. Product had to be easily applied
and removable and maintain a production cost of less than $.22 each.
Solution: PCG located newly developed, optically clear cover
material overseas and worked with a regional adhesive supplier in
developing the proper differential adhesive system for mounting the
product. PCG met both performance and pricing goals required by our
client. |

Challenge:
Develop an industrial label capable of adhering to surfaces in excess
of 1000 degrees F, with printable top surface, to replace existing,
expensive version available only from an overseas source.
Solution:
Again, working with our internal and external resources, PCG developed
a proprietary adhesive system that surpassed the required performance
specs for the label, shortened delivery lead times and costs 15% less
than the available foreign product. |
